Facebook Bans Another Pic

Your antics are getting old Facebook. VERRRRRY old VERRRRY fast.  What’s the deal with censoring same-sex kissing pictures? Ummm newsflash, if New York can accept it I think we all should. Just sayin.

The banned picture (as seen above) is a take on the classic V-J Day in Timesquare photo taken ben Alfred Eisenstaedt.  The new picture was taken in celebration of New York;s new marriage equality bill.

“Like” by hundreds of Facebook users before it was taken down, the banned picture was removed because the “content is pornographic or contains nudity, or is inappropriately sexual.”

After an over abundance of complaints and bad press Facebook apologized stating, “Upon investigation, we concluded the photo does not violate our guidelines and was removed in error.  We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Maybe Facebook should ban the hiring of homophobic employees and worry more about underage girls posting stereotypical bathroom shots of them in their underwear than iconic imagery commemorating a day where a bill was passed that will change society forever.  AND I AM THROUGH, OK-AYYYY.
