Local Homophobic Store: After Dark

One of my friends, who happens to also be a drag queen, was shopping in the Wellington Green Mall when she became a victim of homophobia.  While shopping in a store called, “After Dark” located downstairs across from Hot Topic she was asked to leave due to her sexuality.

Nicole Saphire had this to say on her Facebook:

I was told I was making customers unhappy and uncomfortable at this store and was told I could not use fitting rooms due to it being a women’s store ! I let them have it hunni !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CLERK SAID I OFFENDED HER WITH MY SEXUALITY AND SHE HAD NO INTEREST IN MY REASON FOR TRYING THE CLOTHES ON ! I THEN ASKED HER WAS IT ME OR THE LGBT COMMUNITY THAT OFFENDED HER . SHE REPLIED WITH “WHATS THAT” . I THEN EDUCATED HER ON THE COMMUNITY AND ASKED FOR HER TO THINK TWICE BEFORE OPENING HER MOUTH AGAIN WHEN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER AND SHE INFORMED ME SHE WAS THE MANAGER I THEN LEFT SHOCKED AND APPALLED ! PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THIS ASTABLISHMENT THANK U !LOCATED IN THE WELLINGTON MALL ACCROSS FROM HOT TOPIC!

It makes me disgusted that people like this sales clerk still exist. Every race and religion has experienced some kind of hardship so why inflict that upon another? We should be promoting acceptance, not the other way around.

Moral of the story, don’t shop there and spread the word.  Bitches.
