Cheyenne Jackson, a newly-single Broadway star (just divorced from his husband of two years), has just been added to the cast of Open, a pilot Murphy is doing exclusively for HBO.
Jackson started to gain recognition in both TV and film. Fans of Glee will definitely recognize Jackson as Dustin Goolsby, coach of Vocal Adrenaline and the main rival of the New Directions. It was also in the show where he was given his very suitable alias “Sergeant Handsome.”
If HBO picks up the series, Jackson will be a regular.
Open is described as a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships. It centers on five central characters. Cheyenne Jackson is rumored to play a handsome meth addict.
Filming of Open is slated to begin next February.
