Kanye West

People might hate him for his inflated ego and inclinations towards narcissism but show us the guy who, in at least one point in his life, hasn’t thought of himself as the center of the universe and we got ourselves a new saint.

Anyway, Kanye West has emerged as one of the premiere controversial artists of the last ten years and having won multiple Grammys for his albums Late Registration and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, is a true force of nature in the music industry. He’s also a proponent of the homosexual tolerance in the hip-hop community long before Macklemore sang about “same love”. With opener Kendrick Lamar, this is a show worth watching. 8PM, American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, 33132.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Having filled our bellies with turkey, Christmas once again takes center stage. In the spirit of the coming holidays, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has crafter orchestral versions of Christmas Carols in a theatrical rock-opera style. The 60-piece group puts together elements of classical orchestra and a hard rock band and their signature music has been immortalized in albums since 1996, including Christmas Eve and Other Stories, The Christmas Attic and Beethoven’s Last Night.  This is your chance to see them play their multi-platinum CD the Lost Christmas Eve. 4PM, BB&T Center, 1 Panther Pkwy, Sunrise, 33323.
