Authorities have arrested the Broward County man accused of making threats on social media targeting the LGBT community in Wilton Manors.
A Fort Lauderdale city commissioner confirmed to NBC 6 that Craig Jungwirth was taken into custody near Orlando. However, Wilton Manors Police have yet to confirm the report.
It’s not known what charges Jungwirth faces.
In a Facebook post, Jungwirth allegedly wrote,”It’s time to clean up Wilton Manors from all you AIDS-infested losers.”
In response to the online threats, some bars in Wilton Manors, like Rumors Bar and Grill, stepped up security with armed guards.
In another post, the suspect allegedly wrote “If you losers thought the Pulse Nightclub shooting was bad, wait ’til you see what I’m planning for Labor Day.”
Another post reads “I’m gonna be LOLing you f***** faster than cops kill n******. It’s time to clean up Wilton Manors from all you AIDS-infested losers.”
Jungwirth has a lengthy criminal history which includes stalking charges.
Police are asking anyone else who has been threatened by Jungwirth to call them.
Facebook has since deleted his profile.
